Carolyn Forbes Obituary

Carolyn Lavern Forbes was born to the late Mr. Alex Forbes Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Claude Collier Forbes on January 7, 1959. Carolyn received her primary education from the D.F. Douglass Elementary School and her secondary education from the historic D.F. Douglass High School. She was later employed with Southern Frozen Foods as a line technician until she retired. After retiring, she enjoyed going to church, watching tv, sitting on the front porch, and having conversations with any and everybody.
Carolyn was a faithful member of First Salem Baptist Church from an early age until her health failed. She entered into eternal rest on August 18, 2025, while a patient at Palmyra Nursing home. She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Alex and Annie Claude Forbes; and her brothers: Alex Forbes Jr. and Claude L. Forbes.
Carolyn leaves precious memories to be cherished by her siblings: Gwendolyn Forbes, Darrell Forbes, and Susan (Homer) Causey; her aunt, Bernice Collier; two sisters-in-law: Linda Forbes and Emma Forbes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; her devoted friends: Jerry Haugabook and Raven Perkins.
