Carolyn Louise Hamilton, affectionately known as "Cookie," passed away on May 5, 2025, in Monroe, Michigan, at the age of 78. Born on September 14, 1946, in Ringgold, Georgia, Carolyn lived a life full of love, laughter, and warmth that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Carolyn married her beloved husband, Donald, at the tender age of 16 in 1962, embarking on a lifelong journey together until his passing. Preceded in death by her devoted spouse, she is also reunited in eternal rest with her parents, William and Etta; brothers, Billy, Roy, and Charles Brockmon; and sisters, Shirley Todd and Pat Brault.

A dedicated homemaker, Carolyn was known for her vibrant and feisty personality that lit up any room she entered. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Carolyn had a passion for traveling, reading, and ceramics, and she was an enthusiastic canner. Her love for Allen Jackson's gospel music and visits to the casino added color and excitement to her days.

One of Carolyn's proudest achievements was building two homes from the ground up-one in Michigan and another in Alabama-a testament to her determination and resilience.

She is survived by her loving sister, Beatrice (Red) Allen; her sister-in-law, Linda Brockmon, Linda Frey, Peggy Hamilton and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory. Her dear friend of 63 years, Barbara Revelle, will miss her companionship and the countless memories they've shared.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with entombment to follow in Michigan Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carolyn's honor to the United Ostomy Association of America, reflecting her spirit of generosity and care for others.

Carolyn's vivacious spirit and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and strength that will continue to inspire us all.
