It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Dianne Hanners, 72, who entered into rest on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carolyn was born on July 17, 1952, in Lucedale, Mississippi. She lived a life filled with faith, love, and unwavering dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy as a dedicated educator. Mrs. Hanners made a significant impact on the lives of many students at Perry Primary School in Perry, Georgia. She was known for her patience and kindness in helping her students.
Her parents, James Clarence Pippin and Gladys Lewis Pippin, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 53 years, Daniel Lee Hanners; children, Alison Danielle Callahan (Frank) and James Lance Hanners; grandchildren, Dillon Hanners, Joseph Callahan, and Robert Callahan; great-grandchildren, Easton Thompson, Mason Hanners, and Ashlyn Hanners; siblings, Joe Pippin (Beth), Janice Hayslett (Tom), James Pippin, Sherry Tanner (Larry), and numbers other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Carolyn will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Carolyn Hanners to Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
