Carolyn Yvonne Hardee Blount

Carolyn Yvonne Hardee Blount, 83 of Crab Orchard, Kentucky and formerly of North Carolina, passed away Friday, September 8th, 2023 at her home. She was the widow of James Bruce Blount, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2001. She was born September 18, 1939 in Fayetteville, North Carolina the daughter of the late Vera Shankle Sibbet and Wheeler Hardee. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Carolyn was a longtime educator. She really loved teaching second grade students. She was a avid sports fan. She was a diehard North Carolina Tarheel fan and a Nascar fan. Most of all, she was a Christian and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Two Sons, Bruce (Shirley) Blount and Wayne (Cindy) Blount
10 Grandchildren, Bethany, James, Suzzanne, Christine, Christian, Kelsey, Joshua, Emma, Kevin and Carl
21 Great Grandchildren, Lainey, Bailey, Catalina, Liam, Gavin, Ella, Maddy, Brodie, Isaiah, Justin, Lorelei, Willow, Carson, Jackson, Jensc, Mattison, Laken, Levi, Kevin,Jr., Esther & Adeline
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Maxwell and one brother, Jackie Hardee
