Carolyn Janet Briggs Rowell

Carolyn Janet Briggs Rowell, age 86, of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late “Woody” Woodrow and Connie Stevens Briggs. Carolyn was a homemaker who was family oriented as her children were growing up. From the time Laura and Douglas started elementary school until 6th grade she was very involved with the PTA as they called it at that time- parent/teacher administration. Carolyn was a volunteer in the nurse’s office and a special teacher assistant. She was a home maker and chauffeur until we graduated high school. At that point she went to work for AR children's Hospital in the dental clinic.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, David Sain, who passed away in 1995 and Rex Rowell who passed in 2013. Also, by her brother Bobby Briggs and sister-in-law Evonne Briggs.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Laura House and husband Jeff of Jacksonville, her son Douglas Sain of Little Rock, her granddaughter Ceileigh House and husband Nick Webb, and by two great-granddaughters, Britton and Presley Ann Webb.

Graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at Crestview Memorial Park, 3077 E. Grand Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901
