Carolyn Janz

Carolyn Louise Janz passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 73, as a result of a debilitating stroke caused by an aneurysm. She was born on August 4, 1952 to Ralph and Alice Stone (Flansburgh) in Jackson, Michigan, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Dailey and her brother, David Stone. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband Clifford Janz, of 54 years, son, Matthew (Amy) Janz of Michigan Center and daughter, Kathryn (Timothy) Conrad of Palmetto, FL. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Alyssa (Zach) Coglizer, Isaac Conrad, Robert Janz, William Janz, Zachary Janz, Elizabeth Janz as well as several nieces and nephews. Carolyn graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1970 and worked there as a school secretary after graduation. Carolyn accepted Jesus as her savior at a young age and served the Lord by singing in the choir and as a soloist. She also served as an AWANA leader for many years. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts. The family wishes to thank doctors, nurses and staff in neuro ICU and general care on the 6th floor at the University of Michigan Hospital as well as the nursing and support staff at the Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. To honor Carolyn's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a family memorial service will be held on a date to be determined.
