Carolyn Peeples Jarrard, born on August 23, 1938, in Perry, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at her daughter's home in Lake Butler, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. A devoted homemaker, Carolyn dedicated her life to nurturing her loved ones, leaving legacy of her unwavering spirit of caregiving and immense family bonds.
In her life, Carolyn Peeples Jarrard exemplified the art of living fully and lovingly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey on this Earth.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Daniel and Lorena Grubbs Peeples, her husband, Billy Jarrard, and her cherished sons, Mitchell and Darrell Shadd; and her siblings: W.C. Peeples, Ralph Peeples, Charles Peeples, Latrell Lundy, and Louise Whitfield.
Carolyn was the heart of her family, a gentle and steadfast presence in their lives. She found immeasurable joy in the company of her children—Bonnie Smith, Jeff (Marsha) Shadd, Lori (Harold) Archer, and Becky (Eddie) Lee—whose aspirations and successes she celebrated with pride. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Doug, Davy, Melissa, Michelle, Josh, Daland, and Jason, who were the joyous light of her later years. The laughter and warmth of her great-grandchildren, Kelvi, C.J., Gavin, Robert, Lily, Josiah, Teirney, Ava, Maci, Scarlett, Liam, Eli, and the twin girls yet to enter this world, were a testament to the love and nurturing spirit Carolyn embodied. A loving sister to Eldis (Quinton) Bloodsworth, also survives along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services honoring Carolyn will take place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, beginning with a visitation at 2:00pm, followed by a service at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Ft. Call Cemetery.
