Judy Diane Kent, a lifelong resident of Lake Butler, Florida, passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on August 14, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, Judy was an integral part of her community and a cherished member of Faith Baptist Church, where she devoted many years of her life.
Judy was known for her remarkable sense of humor and her ability to see the best in everyone she met. Her uplifting spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew her. A strong family woman, she took immense pride in creating a nurturing home environment, providing comfort and love through warm meals and open arms.
Growing up, Judy was the daughter of Couston Kurlin Sr. and Elsie Kurlin, and she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Kent. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Couston Kurlin Jr. and Kenneth Kurlin.
Judy is survived by her devoted daughters, Lisa (Bart) Clemons, Danielle (Anthony) Stephens, and Sarah (Cody) Bias, who carry forward her legacy of love. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Tommy (Laurie) Kurlin, her sister, Linda (Randy) Harris, along with her ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her life.
In addition to her family, Judy enjoyed watching old black-and-white westerns and scary movies, and she had a special fondness for décor and anything associated with elephants. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant personality and her simple joys in life.
A memorial service to honor Judy's life and legacy will be held on December 6, 2025, at Raiford Calvary Temple, located at 13190 FL-121, Raiford, FL, beginning at 11:00 AM. providing family and friends an opportunity to gather in remembrance of this remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many.
Judy Kent will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her caring nature, and her infectious laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
