Theresa Kent Obituary
She had previously been employed with West Jefferson Hospital, Walmart, project Lazara, and A&D Adult Care.
She was the ex-wife of Mitchell Richard. She was currently blessed with the companionship of Steve Johnson. She was loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and 1 grandparent, Ida Mae Cambrice; many from the Kent and Cambrice family. Theresa leaves to cherish her memories, her children-Chermaine, Brandon, Brooke, and Michael Kent; grandchildren-Larry Morrison Jr., and Sariah and Quan Baxter, Alayja, Brandi, Malihk, and Daylon Kent, Bronx, Brooke'lyn, and James Johns III, and Kentel Francois Jr.; and great-grandchild-Syaire Baxter; 3 sisters-Cynthia Kent McMillion, Danielle Kent, and Akendra Kent Jackson; brothers-Wardell Coleman Jr., and Otis, Johnathan, Otis and Owen Kent; aunts-Barbara Reece, Yolanda Blackwell, Vanessa Kent, Gaynell Cambrice-Vontoure, and Shajuane; uncles-Marvin (Brenda), Campanella (Trudy), Charles (Gail), Aaron (Colitha), and Robert.
She was preceded in death by her mother-Joan Marie Cambrice; grandparents-Walter and Bertha Kent, and Melvin Cambrice; and great-grandparents-Henry and Florence Brown.
Theresa was a beautiful and well loved person; she will truly be missed.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral service on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L.B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70114.
The Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
The Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3450 US - 90 W, Avondale, LA 70094.
The active pallbearers will be Brandon, Michael, Wardell, Larry, Steven, Kentrel, and Jason; the honorary pallbearers will be Mark, Aaron, and Troy.
Professional Arrangements are entrusted to Murray Henderson Funeral Home, 1209 Teche Street, New Orleans, LA 70114.
