Darnella Jolla

Darnell Jolla was born on January 24, 1974, to Lawrence Anderson and Carolyn Jolla. He was raised in Kenner, Louisiana, and graduated from Bonnabel High School. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on May 22, 2016, at Bethany Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Darnell was married to Leslie Reed and was employed with Marathon Petroleum for over twenty years. Darnell transitioned on November 21, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Anderson and Carolyn Jolla, brother, Noland Anderson and sister, Ada Jolla. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Leslie Reed Jolla; children, Asia, Areion, and Darnell Jolla, Jr.; stepson, Theron Reed; grandchildren, An'Jell Dell, Austin and Ashton Jolla, Malahn, Trevale, Jr., and Keizer Dunmiles; siblings, Jermaine (Deshon) and Torre Jolla; Lawrence, Roxanne, Valerie, Earnest (Roslyn), Michael (Lasontra), and Ronald (Felind) Anderson; Veronica (Edward) Cloudet; Sylvia (Robert) McDonald; sister-in-law, Lisa Anderson; and a host of relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, December 6, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at New Wine Christian Fellowship, 1929 N. Airline Highway, LaPlace, LA. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Rev. Neil Bernard officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, LA.
