Mitchel Clementin Sr

On January 26, 2026, Mitchel Clementin, Sr. cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather ("Parrain"), and friend, departed this earthly life at the age of 84. Mitchel honorably served his country as a military police officer in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1967. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Angela Clementin, Sr.; in-laws, Edward and Delores Jones; brother-in-law, Tennon "TJ" Jones; and brothers: Louis Clementin, Jr., Wilbert Clementin, Sr., and Rodney Clementin, Sr. Mitchel's memory will be lovingly cherished by his wife of 53 years, Sandra J. Clementin; sons: Mitchel Clementin, Jr. (Michele) and Frederick Jarrell, Sr. (Chels); grandson, Jaylen Jarrell; brother, Whitney Clementin (late Maxine); sisters: Sylvia Barnes (late Wilfred), and Brenda Smith (late Huey); sisters-in-law: Joycelyn Clementin, Mary Catherine Clementin, Lois Burke (Louis) and Jackie Jones; brother-in-law Gus Jones; devoted friends: Lucien Payne, Larry and Gregory Peters, and Donald Surtain. Also survived by a host of other family members, relatives, and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating Mitchel's Life at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70116, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA 70460.
