Calvin Bernard Ingram, age 58, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, after a brief illness. Born on April 29, 1967, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Calvin was known for his generous spirit; he did whatever he could to assist those in need, embodying a compassion that resonated with many.
From a young age, Calvin was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, where his spiritual journey began. He later moved to Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized at the age of 13. His faith was his bases for his kind-hearted nature.
An avid sports fan, Calvin had a long-standing devotion to the Dallas Cowboys, which was a reflection of his spirited personality. He also found joy in reading and spent many hours painting in his spare time. His love for the outdoors was evident, as he relished nature and could name every tree he encountered, showcasing his appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.
Calvin leaves behind his wife, Yolande Smith; his son, Zane Prince Ingram; and loving siblings, including his brothers Dr. Jimmy L. Gregory (Traci Gregory) of Atlanta, GA, Troy Ingram, and Thomas Ingram of Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as his sisters Cynthia Gregory Miller of Augusta, GA, Veronica Ingram, Vanessa Ingram, and Vicky Ingram, all of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is also survived by his aunts Macedonia Ingram, Carrie Ingram, and Viola Jenkins Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophronia Ingram; his father, Brook Ingram, Jr.; and his sister, Terri Connie Brown.
Calvin’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him, reminding us of the joy he brought into the lives of many. His visitation will be held on November 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, Florida.
