Matthew Gerald Dukes

Matthew Gerald Dukes of Lake Butler, FL passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on November 10, 2025, at the age of 46. Born January 31st, 1979, in Gainesville, FL to C. Renee Newsom Rodriguez and Gerald R. Dukes, Jr. He was an electrician by trade.

Matt’s greatest love and joy were his boys! You could always find him watching sports, reading, on the grill or in the kitchen. He could talk to you about anything and sure make you laugh. He loved his family and friends immensely. Matt accepted Christ at an early age and continued his walk with the Lord.

He is survived by his cherished sons Alexander R. Dukes-Rivera and Andrew G. Dukes-Rivera. Sisters Angi Dukes and Julia Rodriguez, Grandmother

Nancy Newsom, bonus dad George Rodriguez; special Uncles Bryant, Dean and Terry, loving aunts, cousins and lifelong friend Steve. He was preceded in death by parents C. Renee Newsom Rodriguez and Gerald R. Dukes, Jr.; Grandparents Gerald and Joyce Dukes, Barney Newsom and special Uncle Randy and cousin Branden.

Although his journey here on earth was short, his passing will leave a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Archer-Milton Funeral Home.

John 11:25-26- I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
