Carolyn Faye LaRue

Carolyn Faye LaRue, age 76, of Robards, KY, passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home under the care of her daughter Christa and with the aid of St. Anthony's Hospice.
Carolyn was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and also worked as a medicine aid at Colonial Terrace and Medco of Henderson. Carolyn loved gardening, canning, quilting, and cooking for her family and friends. She also loved traveling out west and visited several national parks.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Mary Virginia Carter, and her sisters Melissa Joann "Jody" Billings and Melanie Jane Culver.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 57 years Newman LaRue of Robards, KY; daughter Myrtle Christa June LaRue Holloway of Robards, KY; sons Newman Edward LaRue, Jr. and Daniel Keith LaRue (Danyel) both of Robards, KY; brothers Virgil Carter, Jr. and Carl Bert Carter both of Henderson County, KY; 4 grandchildren: Drew Enlow, Taren Rudolph, Troy Mason Lewis, and Haley LaRue; 3 great-grandchildren: Cole Enlow, Jensen Rudolph, and Tilly Rudolph; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carolyn's Life Celebration from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Monday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the funeral home with Reverend Bret Eblen officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.
