Danny Powell age 62 passed away March 17th 2026 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born July 29th 1967 to Shirley and Douglas Powell in Blue Island, IL. Danny enjoyed the outdoors with an emphasis on fishing, hunting, and riding 4 wheelers. When not outdoors, Danny enjoyed playing with his dogs. Danny worked for the City of Uniontown and later on mowed oil wells for George Payne.

Danny is predeceased by his father Douglas Powell and his brother Steve Powell.

Survivors include:

Mother - Shirley Powell of Uniontown, KY

2 Daughters - Destiny (Cody) Haire of Henderson, KY

Dani Pemberton of Sturgis, KY

Brother - David Powell of Uniontown, KY

Sister - Glenda Buchanan of Uniontown, KY

6 Grandchildren - Emma, Joshlynn, Andrew, Layla, Taylor, and Karson

1 Great grandchild - Aaliyah

The funeral will be at 11 AM Tuesday March 24th at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Reverend Eric Crowley will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday March 23rd at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Visitation will then begin at 9 AM Tuesday March 24th at the funeral home until service time.

Burial in Uniontown City Cemetery.
