Carolyn Long Obituary
Carolyn Lynn Long, 76, of Sanford passed away on January 1, 2026. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Born in Bedford, PA on December 17, 1949, a daughter of the late John Kagarise and Arvilla (Miller) Kagarise. Carolyn graduated from Bedford High School in 1969. Before retiring, she worked for Manheim Central School District in Child Nutrition Services. Carolyn exhibited a never-ending sense of humor, a big heart, and devoted her time to rescuing and adopting any cat that needed a home. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading her bible and devotional books every morning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Long of Lancaster; and siblings Eugene Kagarise, Edith Mutchler, Betty Conrath, Beverly Duncan, Shirley Hall, Connie Steel, infant brother Tom Kagarise and infant sister Peggy Kagarise.
She is survived by her son Stacey Robinette and wife Tina of Holly Springs, NC; granddaughter Maya Robinette of Holly Springs, NC; stepchildren Jenny Wingler of Drumore, PA and Justin Long of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters Nancy Mock and husband Robert of Bedford, PA and Cheryle Engbert and husband Richard of Schellsburg, PA; and several step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
