Carolyn Ann Lowery, 89, of Augusta, entered into the presence of the Lord January 15, 2025 in Augusta, GA. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who actively lived out her faith. She was an incredible mom and grandmother who loved deeply, served others unselfishly and will be missed immensely by her family and friends.
Carolyn was born in Miami, FL to Afebia Fowler on October 19, 1935. She was a graduate of Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, FL. Class of 1954.
She worked as a Legal Secretary for a number of Law Firms in Florida. However, her favorite jobs were after retirement, where she served as a Preschool Teacher’s Assistant at First Baptist Church Daytona Beach, FL and Warren Baptist Church, Augusta GA. She also served as a preschool and elementary before and after school care provider at Augusta Christian Schools, Martinez, GA.
She was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Murphy/Downey Life Group. She was an avid participant in the Warren Sports & Fitness Centers Bodies in Motion Group Fitness Class and was also a longtime volunteer in the Warren Preschool Ministry.
Carolyn is reunited in Heaven with her mother Afebia Fulcher and Brother-in-law, Rodney Rich.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Marilyn Rich, of Daytona Beach, FL ; Sons, Lantz Lowery (Mary) of Melrose FL; Lane Lowery (Liz) of Evans GA. Grandchildren, Keegan Lowery (Lindsay) of Gainesville, FL; Kaili Mills (Brad) of Sneads Ferry, NC; Nathan Lowery of Augusta, GA; Nolan Lowery (Cameron) of Warner Robins, GA; Marah Saunders (Austin) of Melrose, FL. Great grandchildren, Emersyn Lowery, Bennett Mills, Elliette Lowery, Callum Mills and Cooper Lowery

The family of Carolyn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Andrea Hartley the Director of Harrington Park Health and Rehabilitation Center and the entire staff for being the Hands and Feet of Jesus to our mom and grandmother. You loved her so well and took such great care of her. We would also like to thank the team at Affinis Hospice for helping Mom’s final days to be lived out with honor and dignity.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025. Visitation at 10:00AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM at Warren Baptist Church, Augusta with Dr. David McKinley, Pastor-Teacher of Warren Baptist Church, officiating.
