Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory - FarmingtonCarolyn Mary Osborne entered eternal rest on November 4, 2025, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 83. She was born on December 3, 1941, in De Soto, Missouri, to the late Clifford and Grace (Sansoucie) AuBuchon.
Carolyn is survived by her children, David Cernicek of Cape Coral, FL, Susan (Milton) Smith of Henrietta, TX, and Cindy (Allen) Evans of Fresno, CA; her grandchildren, Elisha (Robert Otto) Cernicek, Brandon Cernicek, Garrett (Amanda) Cernicek, Brennan (Stefanie) Evans, Aidan Evans, and India Evans; and her great-grandchildren, Harper and Henry Cernicek. She is also survived by her siblings, Bonnie Klump of De Soto, MO, and James (Rosemary) AuBuchon of Bismarck, MO, sister-in-law, Anna Lou AuBuchon, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carl Osborne; her siblings, Dorothy AuBuchon, Leonard AuBuchon, and Clifton AuBuchon; and her brother-in-law, Leland Klump.
Carolyn was a dedicated employee of White-Rodgers for 25 years. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in De Soto, where she faithfully served for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, nature, gardening, feeding her birds, and reading — but above all, she cherished spending time with her family.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the De Soto Community Center, 400 Boyd Street, De Soto, MO. Please RSVP by Saturday, November 21st if you are attending. Inurnment will be held privately at the Masonic Cemetery in Blackwell.
