Berniece Faye “Cindy” Pursell, 83, of Osage Beach, MO passed away November 2, 2025 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was born January 16, 1942 in Kampsville, IL to the late Jeff West and Margie (Goodman) Watts. She was all about family and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. The holidays were especially meaningful to her — a time when she could bring everyone together, fill her home with laughter, and create lasting memories around the table. Her love for family and the traditions she cherished will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Pursell; two sisters, Iva West and Dollie Mae; brother, Dennis Watts.
Berniece is survived by her three children, William (Cathy) Henley, George (Cindy) Denton and Jack Denton; grandchildren, William (Ashley) Henley, Jr., Alyssia Henley, Jessica Turner (and her son), Tyler Porterfield, Addisyn Porterfield, Kyle Denton; great-grandchildren, Melanie Henley, Rhett Henley, Alyxxia Henley, and Trevor Denton; three sisters, Connie Barbey, Roxie Rikard, Elaine (John) Phillips; brother, Eddie Watts.
Visitation will be held at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Duke West officiating. Interment will follow at Annapolis Lewis Cemetery in Annapolis, MO.
