Carolyn Leggett Overton

 

Carolyn Leggett Overton, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Claiborne and Hughes Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Franklin, TN.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells First United Methodist Church, with Mauricio Porras officiating, Chase Spradlin reading scripture, and special music provided by Nathaniel, Hannah,  Jake Hulme and Claudia Spradlin.  Burial to follow in the Belleview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Bells First United Methodist Church from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at 1:00 P.M.

Mrs. Carolyn was born in Bells, Tn on September 20, 1947, to the late Bernard Clifton Leggett and Annie Floye Norville Hulme.  She was a member of the Bells First United Methodist Church and worked many years at the Renasant Bank.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 10 years:  Eddie Overton; one sister-in-law:  Claudette Hulme; and one grandson:  Eddie Cole.

She is survived by one daughter:  Anna O. Cole (Matt) of Franklin, TN; two brothers:  Curtis Leggett (Marsha) of Bells, TN, David Hulme of Gallatin, TN; She leaves a legacy of four grandchildren:  Christian, Cannon, Eleanor and Coen.

Serving as pallbearers are : Matt Leggett, Matthew Cole, Nathaniel Hulme, Jake Hulme, Chase Spradlin, and Al Overton
