Carolyn Pickup Obituary
April 25, 1933 - December 23, 2024
Carolyn Pickup passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Branford, Connecticut. Born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, she is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ralph J. Pickup, Jr. She also leaves behind her two daughters, Susan Stango and Cynthia Keith, and son, Ralph J. Pickup III. Carolyn has four grandchildren: Amy Stone, Jennifer Stone, Christopher Benson, and Gregory Benson, and five great-grandchildren: Hailey Stone, Adelaide Lane, Anderson Lane, Silas Benson, and Edgar Benson. She loved to play the piano, sew, paint, and garden and had many fond memories with her neighbors in East Haven, CT, where she resided for over 68 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew's Church, 458 Forbes Avenue, New Haven, CT, where Carolyn was a devoted member for over 60 years, on January 6, 2025, at 6:00pm. I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family of my former coworker from First Bank, Carolyn, who was a wonderful and compassionate friend to me. I cherish the memories of our time working together, filled with laughter and fun. May God bless her soul and may she rest in the loving arms of our dear Lord.
