Carolyn J (Couts) Rees 10/16/1935 – 8/16/2025 With deep love and quiet sorrow, we share the passing of Carolyn J. Rees, age 89, who departed peacefully on August 16, 2025, with family by her side. Born to the late Charles and Mathilda Couts. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward L. Rees and sons, Perry (Wendy) Rees and Mark Rees and sisters Joan Couts and Janet Gazzo. Survived by children, Michael (Tina) Rees, Patricia (Rees) Gonano, Thomas (Renee) Rees, Kelly Rees, and Coleen (Joe) Woods. Devoted to her 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Special aunt to Dave and Chrissy Gazzo. Cherished by many friends throughout the years. To many she was simply, NANA, a name that carried warmth, joy, and unconditional love. Her gentle spirit and calm peace touched all who knew her. Her life was a testament to her deep Catholic faith, her devotion to the Blessed Mother and her quiet grace. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Parish St. Joseph Church, Verona, PA 15147 at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Friends and family are welcome.
