Margaret Carolyn Siniard, lovingly known as "Carolyn" and to her family as "Granny," passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at Tranquility Hospice in Cobb County, just days after celebrating her 86th birthday.
Born September 12, 1939, in Kingston, Georgia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Emmett Reed Sr. and Reba Reed. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Effie Moore and Robert Reed Sr. and Ola Reed.
Carolyn was a devoted Baptist Christian whose faith guided her life. Friends and family remember her as kindhearted, deeply understanding, and someone who never met a stranger. She shared her warmth and compassion generously, leaving an impact on everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Vaughan (Michael); her brother, Emmett Reed Jr. (Janice); her granddaughters, Jessica Newton (Mandy) and Sydney Leslie (Savannah); her great-granddaughter, Ellie Newton; and her nephews, Brian Reed and Corey Reed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, GA. Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Her family takes comfort in knowing Carolyn is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and that her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue through all who knew her.
