Carolyn Walker Tindol

Carolyn Walker Tindol, 81, of Abilene and formerly of Big Spring passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. Visitation at Myers & Smith Funeral Home will be Sunday, July 21st from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The service will be held Monday, July 22nd at 1:00 PM followed by interment at Trinity Memorial Park. Born February 8, 1943 in Lorraine, TX to Carroll Walker and Bernice Barr. She had been a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Big Spring. Carolyn was a very caring and generous person. She had a warm sense of humor and loved to crochet and bake. Above all, she loved being with her grandkids. She was an advocate and frequent speaker for LifeGift organ donation of Texas. This passion of hers developed following her interaction with LifeGift at the passing of her son.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Bernice Walker; her husband, Kenneth Tindol; her son, Jonathan Tindol; and her brother, Ardis Walker.
She is survived by two daughters, Karri Tindol, and Tiffney Warnell; four grandchildren, Jonathan Tindol, Savannah Cano, Brody DeLeon, and Braxten DeLeon; three great-grandchildren as well as one on the way, Brinleigh Tindol, Gage Edwards, and Marlowe Cano; her brother Dale Walker; daughter-in-law, Tina Anderson; sisters in-law, Linda Ray and Shirley Tindol; several nieces and nephews.
