Carolyn Marie Tracey, 78, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on March 1, 2026. She was the wife of the late David Tracey for 25 plus years. Born April 4, 1947, in Manchester, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Pauline (O’Keefe) Ruby.
Carolyn was an amazing, caring woman with a great love for people and animals. A woman of immense knowledge who loved to laugh. She was a member of St David’s UCC in Hanover, PA, her love for the church and faith was extraordinarily strong. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, and canning.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Boylan (Tommy), Bonnie Bishop, Tammy Bishop (Roy Collins), Kimberly Chaney (Jonathan), and Laurie Mann (Shawn); grandchildren, Joshua Beal (Colleen), Kayla Horgash, and Mason Chaney; sister, Janet Sams; brother, Kenneth Ruby Jr.; sister-in-law, Betty Ruby; close friend, Harold Caltrider; her dog, Bandit and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Laverne Ruby; sister-in-law, Gerrie Ruby; and brother-in-law, Bill Sams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at St. David’s UCC, 142 Hobart Rd, Hanover, PA at 11 am, the family will receive friends beginning at 10 am. Light refreshments will follow the service.
