Carolyn Jean Wennemann

Carolyn Jean Wennemann passed away at Clarity Hospice on October 8 due to a brief acute illness, 15 years after a disabling stroke. She was 55 years old. She was from New Orleans and later moved to Lynchburg, VA. She was a resident of Golden Age Healthcare in Denham Springs, LA for the last 7 years. Carolyn is survived by her father Eugene H Wennemann of Denham Springs, daughter Tara Lynn (Daniel) Sturgeon, 2 grandsons Ian & Owen of Greenwell Springs, LA, 3 brothers Patrick Wennemann & Ellen David of Denham Springs, Scott & Rachelle Wennemann of River Ridge, LA, Paul & Timi Wennemann of Lawrenceville, GA. Also, long-time friend Kristie Boyd of Winchester, VA. Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Maureen Murphy Wennemann. Special thanks to the staff of Clarity House Hospice of BR, Ochsner O'Neal ER staff and Golden Age Healthcare staff for their many years of care. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Ln., Denham Springs, LA. She will be laid to rest in Lynchburg, VA on November 6, 2021.
