Carolyn K.Young, a dedicated and beloved member of her community, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 72 in Owasso, Michigan, where she was born on April 24, 1953.
For many years, Carolyn served as a bus driver for the Chesaning schools, a role that showcased her commitment to the safety and well-being of countless children. Her exceptional service did not go unnoticed; she received a Red Cross award for everyday heroes when she heroically managed a situation involving her bus that caught fire, demonstrating her quick thinking and devotion to the students in her care.
Carolyn had a vibrant personality, characterized by her love for watching scary movies and spending cherished time at the beach up north. She approached life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure, which endeared her to those lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth D. Stall and Richard C. Stall, as well as her sister, Leona Kathryn Young, and her brother, Joseph Carroll Young. Carolyn was predeceased by her father, Carroll Joseph Young; her mother, Kathryn L. Young; her sister, Debrah Brabant; and her brother-in-law, Michael Brabant.
Carolyn's legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her career. She will be remembered fondly for her courageous spirit, compassion, and unwavering dedication.
