Services in loving memory of Mrs. Carrie Bell "Kat" Chapman, age 85, a native and resident of Grove Hill, AL will be observed as follows: viewing, Friday, April 11, 2025, 3pm until 6pm at Andrews Funeral Home, Chapel "A"; viewing Saturday, April 12, 2025, 10am until the 11am service at Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Asbury Road, Grove Hill, AL 36541, Reverend Charles Cooley, Pastor; Reverend Fernell Pendleton, Eulogist. Following the interment ceremony in the Church Cemetery, the family will receive friends in the dining hall of the Church.

Carrie Bell Owes was born March 17, 1940 in Grove Hill, AL to the parentage of the late Mr. George Owes and the late Mrs. Icy Bell Owes. She departed this life April 2, 2025 at her home.
She was a member of Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Grove Hill, AL. "Kat", as she was affectionately called, loved to sew, fish, and bake her delicious Italian Crème Cakes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Chapman; her sister, Allie Mae Hamilton, and a devoted friend, Mary Martin.
She is forever loved and cherished in the hearts of her children: two sons, Larry D. (Daisy) Chapman (devoted caregiver), and Darryl D. Chapman; two daughters, Bettie Jean (Curtis Dickinson) Chapman, and Nadine Chapman, all of Grove Hill, AL; two grandchildren, Adarian Hunt of Killen, TX and Deon (Shan) Chapman of Grove Hill, AL; three great-grandchildren, Daelyn Curry, Harmony Hunt and Jerry Jamal Chapman; one step grandson, Zaylon Curry; best friend, Allegra Walker of Montgomery, AL. She will be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
