Carrie E. Kistler

Carrie E. Kistler, 88, of Elliottsburg, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, March 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born January 13, 1938, in Ickesburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles K. Reisinger and Frances (Shull) Reisinger. Carrie was the beloved wife of James M. Kistler, with whom she shared 66 years together before his passing in 2019.

She was a high school graduate and worked for Piezo Crystal Factory in Carlisle before her retirement. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Elliottsburg. Faith and her family were the most important things to Carrie. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and loved to read, travel, and was an avid shopper. Once retired, she spent time tending to her home and gardens.

Carrie leaves behind her 4 daughters, Cindy (Andrew) Bower, Debbie (Robby) Rohm, Joni (Thomas) Abeling, and Fran (Thomas) Cook; her 10 grandchildren, Adam, Austin, Alissa, Rory, Kari, Dayne, Colton, Brogan, Evan and Halie; her 15 great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Case, Macklen, Madden, Beckett, Collins, Sutton, Chet, Rylan, Asher, Porter, Beau, Bode, Kaiya, and Nora; her 2 sisters, Louise Dum and Roberta Metz; and many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, 11AM, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 70 Limestone Ridge Rd, Elliottsburg, PA 17024. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the church from 10AM-11AM.
