CARRIE MCCONNELL Obituary

CARRIE MCCONNELL Richfield, Utah: Carrie Lee McConnell of Richfield passed away on August 30, 2025, surrounded in love by her family and friends. Carrie was born to Keith Dean and Carol Loraine Christensen McConnell on February 15, 1960, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. She was the third of seven children. Carrie was a special person full of love, laughter, and kindness. She faced many challenges in her life as a person with special needs, but never let it stop her. Carrie won many medals competing in the Special Olympics. She was a true diva who loved having her picture taken with her family and friends, loved blinged clothes, sunglasses, jewelry, and tiaras. She was the Osmonds' greatest fan, especially Donny's. Carrie is survived by her siblings: Sharon Roberts, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Stan McConnell, La Verkin, Utah; Kathy (Bill) Purinton, Prineville, Oregon; Lisa (Roy) Mitchell, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; and many much-loved nieces, nephews, and friends. Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Loraine, and brothers, Kjeld and Michael McConnell. Carrie chose to donate her body to science. A private memorial will be held at a later time. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Included, Mesa Vista, Utah Valley Hospital, Sevier Valley Hospital, Mission at Richfield, and Stonehenge for their love, care, and support of Carrie and her Family.
