Carrie Gene Rodriguez, beloved mother, lovey, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025 at the young age of 49, at Houston Methodist Hospital-The Woodlands. Surrounded by those who cared for and loved her the most and holding the hands of her three children.

Born on March 16, 1976 in Conroe, Tx , to mother Elizabeth Stephan and father Larry Koenig. A wild child who made her own rules and lived life to the fullest. She attended Conroe High School where she made lifelong friends and left a lasting impression that only she could. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Carrie, knew she had a sense of humor that would lighten any mood. Had a smile as bright as the Texas sky and was tough as nails. She was outgoing, the life of any party and sure knew how to get her friends into trouble growing up. Carrie lived a life full of love, laughter and strength. She devoted everything to her family and treasured the time she had with her kids and grandkids every day. Her hobbies mostly consisted of being outside. She loved sitting next to an open fire on a cold night hanging with friends and family, fishing, crabbing, and camping. She also loved a good sports game and would watch as often as possible. She loved music and wouldn't miss an opportunity to sing along. Had a love for true crime shows and always swore she knew who'd done it. Carrie's favorite time of day was in the evening, when she was watching TV in her recliner with her dog Kobie sitting next to her as she fell asleep. She was a firecracker, iron-willed, and nothing could hold her back. She was a fighter until the very end. Her legacy will forever live on through those she cherished.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Elijio and Virginia Mendez, father Larry Koenig and stepfather Edwin Stephan of Conroe, Tx. She is survived by her mother Elizabeth Stephan. Siblings; Larry Koenig (Amy) and Katherine Elliott (Jason). Nieces and Nephews; Cody Rushing (Whitney) Hunter Elliott (Lauren), Amber Koenig,

and Chance Koenig. Children; Alexis Grissam (William), Jordan Rodriguez, and Courtney Rodriguez. Grandchildren; Briar Grissam, Kollyns Grissam, Peyton Hooper,

Harley Hooper and Emery Hooper. Along with countless dear friends whose life she touched with her tenacity and vivaciousness.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Carrie's life in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome and encouraged to attend.
