Grace Elizabeth (Betsy) O'Bryan Delgado peacefully passed away on Tuesday August 19th, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was surrounded by her cherished children and friends at the end. Betsy was a force of personality and love and will be missed by her many friends and family.

Betsy was born in Houston, Texas, to Joyce and Pat O'Bryan but spent most of her childhood in the east Texas town of Livingston where she graduated from high school. She was most proud of participating in all the events of small town life, from Rotary Club sweetheart, to serving as the high school band drum major and her favorite memory of being an LHS twirler. She still has many friends in Livingston and loved being from the small town, with the Fain Theater and the White Kitchen being her favorite places to talk about "seeing everyone in town".

She attended Stephen F. Austin University after college, then attended graduate school at Southwest Texas State where she met the love of her life, Al. They were married in 1980 and she continued to teach school until their son Bryan was born in 1986. They moved to Bay City in 1988 where her daughter Elizabeth was born.

The family relocated to Richardson, Texas in 1992 where they established roots, raised their children and made lifelong friends. Betsy was very involved in the community and her childrens activities, serving as a girl scout leader, PTA president, and supporter of every dance team and soccer team through the years.

During her life she had the chance to travel the world and make incredible memories, especially accompanying Al on his work trips to Paris, Honolulu and all places in between. Betsy was totally devoted to Al through 39 years of marriage, before he passed away in 2019.

Betsy was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2013, and underwent an intensive surgery that took years to recover from. The last 12 years of her life cancer was a constant presence, but working with an incredible team of doctors and modern medicine she continued to live a full independent life. The family is incredibly grateful to the team of doctors and staff that cared for Betsy during her cancer journey. Each truly went above and beyond to take interest in her case and well being, fielding hundreds of texts and calls s as mom navigated through treating her disease.

Her biggest wish in life was to become a grandmother, and she was overjoyed to have the opportunity to be "Mimi", doting on her beloved grandchildren Tad, Emma and Aidan. She loved children and was a surrogate mom to many through the years, especially to Elizabeth and Bryan's close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Al and her parents Joyce and Pat O'Bryan. She is survived by her children, Bryan and his wife Emily and their son Tad, her daughter Elizabeth and her husband Alex Gaul, and their children Emma and Aidan, her brother Mike O'Bryan and his wife Robyn, and her deeply loved nieces and nephews Tyler, Katy, Eric, Brianna, Patrick, Susan, Laurel and Carson.
