Carrie A. Tripp, age 49, of Council Bluffs gained her wings on November 9, 2024. She leaves behind her four children Tylor Hutchens age 30 of Council Bluffs, Alyssa Hutchens age 26 of Council Bluffs, Caleb Tripp age 16 of Crescent, Iowa and her youngest Braxton Tripp age 12 of Crescent, Iowa.

Carrie married Jeremy Hutchens and together they had Tylor and Alyssa. Jeremy passed away, at the age of 31, and was the son of Earladeen and Jim Hutchens.

Carrie remarried years later to Rex Tripp of Crescent, Iowa and together they had Caleb and Braxton.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Hatcher who passed in 2009.

Carrie leaves behind her mother, Cindy Hatcher of Council Bluffs; brother, Dan Colton of New York; and a sister, Beverly Harvey of Council Bluffs; several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Carrie aka Care Bear loved life. She was a beautiful soul and loved her kids. Carrie loved to clean, as crazy as that sounds, to most of us. She cleaned apartments for Realtors and private homes as well. Carrie also worked for many years, as a Receptionist, in the Omaha area.

To sum it all up, she loved dancing, especially with her kids. She loved being silly and bragged about not having one mean bone in her body.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 with visitation the hour prior to the service, which is also Carrie's birthday.
