Carroll Wayne Broussard, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on June 16, 1948, in Jennings, Louisiana, Carroll lived a full and vibrant life in Lake Arthur.
A proud veteran, Carroll served his country in the Navy as a member of the Seabees, embracing the camaraderie and the sense of purpose that came with military life. After his service, he worked as an operator in the petrochemical industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Carroll had a passion for the outdoors. He loved spending his time hunting deer, fishing, and shooting-activities that brought him peace and joy. He was also known for his love of cars, often finding excitement in buying them.
Carroll was surrounded by family during his time, leaving behind his loving sons Mark (Erin), Dustin (Mandy), and Brent (Brandi) Broussard and the mother of his children, Gloria Ann Thibodeaux. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Hailey, Mia, Jenna, Sagan, Maci, Morgan, Aaron, Jacob, Ava, and Lea Broussard.
A funeral service will be held on March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Carroll's life and share cherished memories. There will be a public viewing from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM that same day. Following the service, Carroll will be laid to rest at Andrus Cove Cemetery in Jennings.
The family invites everyone who knew and loved Carroll to join them in honoring his memory and the indelible mark he left on our lives.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Hattie Faulk Broussard; brother, Douglas Broussard, Jr.; and his sisters, Shirley Duhon and Ruth Trahan.
