Carroll Dollar Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home on Jan. 21, 2026.
Carroll Ray Dollar, known to family and friends as Ray, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 5, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on October 28, 1945, in Hollis, Oklahoma.

Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jeanie Dollar, who passed away in 2021, his sister, Virginia Shobe, brother Clovis Dollar as well as his parents, Versie and William (Bill) Dollar.

He is survived by his loving family: his sons, Dean Dollar and Danny Dollar; his daughter-in-law's, Heidi Dollar and Dorsey Dollar; and his cherished grandson, Matthew Dollar. He is also survived by his nephew, Garry Mays; his nieces, Lana Dollar and Zona Shobe; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and their children, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Ray was a man of many skills and talents. He took great pride in his abilities and found joy in his hobbies, especially his fond love of collecting stationery-a pastime that reflected his appreciation for detail, history, and craftsmanship. Those who knew Ray will remember his daily social media posts, quiet dedication, his love for storytelling.

A Celebration of Life honoring Ray will be held on Sunday, February 1, at 1:00 PM at Papago Park, located at 1002 N College Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281. (Cross Streets are College Avenue and Curry Road). Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and celebrate his life.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
