Carson W. Crume, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th at Lunn's Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
A son of the late Carol (Bird) and Wayne Crume, Carson was born on August 27, 1946, in Portales, New Mexico. He worked selling insurance before becoming a pharmaceutical salesman for Mead Johnson, where he retired.
He is remembered for his big smile and giving heart, always helping others when they were in need. He was quick to make a friend from a stranger and left behind a wake of people that talk about how he would make them laugh with his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He coached many of the youth sports teams for his kids as they grew up.
He was an avid musician, playing the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, piano and banjo. There wasn't an instrument he couldn't play. He enjoyed gathering with his friends on the weekends to pick and grin. He passed his love of music on to many people in his extended family and his friends.
Carson was a veteran of the US Air Force Reserves. He loved watching the World Champion Texas Rangers and the 5 time World Champion Dallas Cowboys.
He will be missed by so many.
Along with his parents, Carson was also preceded in death by his brother Kim.
He is survived by his daughter Stacey Crume-Lampe and her daughter Isabella Melissa Lampe; his stepson Brad Huff and his wife Laura and their two sons Brandon and Brady.
For those desiring, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
