Carson Alexander Minshall

Carson Alexander Minshall, 53, of Canton, North Carolina, passed away on October 14, 2025.

Born on November 18, 1971, in Great Falls, Montana, Carson spent his formative years growing up in both Mason, Michigan, and Roswell, Georgia. For the last 20 years, he made his home in Canton, North Carolina, where he deeply embraced the surrounding mountain community.

His greatest pride was his daughter, Coraline, whose many musical talents he loved to listen to and support.
Carson was an avid hiker and a passionate steward of the outdoors. He dedicated countless hours as a volunteer with the Carolina Mountain Club, helping to maintain and build the trails he loved in the surrounding mountains. His commitment to serving his community extended to more recent volunteer work with the local food bank. He was also a loved and active member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Carson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Donna Mueller, and Carson E. Minshall, and his stepfather, Terry Olson.

He is survived by his loving daughter Coraline; his mother Marty Olson; his grandmother Nancy Minshall; his siblings Jess (Chad) and Sarah (Kaleb); and his step-siblings Tim, Tami, and Troy. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Carson will be remembered for his quiet strength, his commitment to service to his community, and the loving support he gave to his daughter.
