Carson C. Nokes Sr. was born on May 9, 1957, in Sheridan, Michigan. He departed this life on March 27, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Carson was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his children, Carson (Jenna) Nokes Jr., Nicholas (Kayla) Nokes, and Julie (Julayne) Nokes; his legacy is further carried on by his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
Carson was a son to Ula (Carrick) Keeler, who provided unwavering support throughout his life, and a brother to Mike Nokes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Nokes; father, Harold Nokes, and his sisters, Mary and Cheryl, leaving memories that will be cherished by family and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Carson found great joy in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and share quality time with family. His passion for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for family, which was evident in all that he did. As such, he cultivated deep relationships with his children and grandchildren, ensuring that family gatherings were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and stories that will live on.
Carson's presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit and the values he instilled within his family will continue to thrive in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be remembered fondly for his dedication to family, his adventurous spirit, and the memories that will forever remain a part of their lives.
At the request of Carson, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Cornerstone Worship Center in Vestaburg, Michigan at 11:00 a.m.
