Carson Puckett Obituary

Carson Tate Puckett, Sr., age 76, of Banner Elk, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Watauga Medical Center.
Carson was born on June 25, 1946 in Avery County, North Carolina, a son of the late Luther Puckett and the late Iris Tate Puckett.
He graduated from Cranberry High School in 1964 and then served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army. Upon his return from service, he went into Law Enforcement working for the Town of Beech Mountain and then transferred to the Linville Land Harbor Police Department, where he stayed until his retirement in 2006.He attended Faith Baptist Church in Matney. Carson enjoyed buying and selling cars, which went from a hobby to a business in his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Sister, Patricia Robbins.
Carson leaves behind to cherish his memory Wife of 57 years, Judy Hughes Puckett; Two Sons, Carson Puckett, Jr. of Banner Elk, NC, Chad Puckett of Banner Elk, NC; Brother, Richard (Debbie) Puckett of Banner Elk, NC; Sister, Sheila (Terry) Banner of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Five Grandchildren, Kendra Hamby, Bryce Puckett, Tate Puckett, Ayden Puckett, Grey Puckett; One Great Grandson, Lincoln Hamby and Sweet and Precious Dog, Cookie.
Services for Carson Puckett will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Grandfather Chapel of Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Trivette. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Elk Valley Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful and caring nurses in the ICU at Watauga Medical Center and to Dr. Wolfe for his care and concern.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Parkinson's Foundation or to the Disabled American Veterans.
