Carthenia "Tina" Griffin Green was born June 8, 1946 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. and Eunice Griffin. Her formative years of education were in Kosciusko, Mississippi. After graduation she attended Tennessee State University, and transferred to Memphis State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She continued her education and received a Masters Degree from Memphis State University.
To the union of Tina and Frank they had a daughter Sharon L. Green who preceded her in death.
Tina's hobbies were gardening and decorating.
She was baptized in June of 1988. She dedicated her life to serving Jehovah. She opened her home to Saturday's Book Study. She worked with the ladies from the Kingdom Hall doing field service.
Tina worked for Denver Public Schools as a Para-Professional for the past fifteen years in the Transportation Department. She had a number of friends. She formerly worked for the Cherry Creek Schools District for five years. She was an agent at Farmers Insurance Group for several years.
Before moving to Colorado she was an educator. She taught history and science for the Walnut School System. She worked in Memphis, Tennessee as an Airport Police Officer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her dedicated husband Frank Green, her step-children Donna Dowell, Lisa Johnson and Frank Green Jr., two sisters Lillie Griffin and Helen Cross and brother Mervin Griffin and several in-laws and a myriad of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for all kindness and support extended to them during this challenging time. Your compassion has provided them with comfort and strength.
