Caryl Pizinger Obituary
Caryl Lee Pizinger, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 10, 1957 in Denver, Colorado; the daughter of the late Helen (Zononi) Nye who passed away in 2024. Caryl lived in New Hartford where she raised her beloved daughters and then moved to Barkhamsted in 2000 where she shared a home with her mother.
She proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Assistant and Nurse and later in the Reserves. Caryl worked for Allstate Insurance for 36 years prior to her retirement. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's and Men's Basketball fan. She enjoyed many trips with close friends and loved her gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Brianna Bender and husband David of Barkhamsted and Tamsin Lauzier and husband Tyler of Granby; her cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alexander Bender and Finn, Emmett and Hudson Lauzier; her former spouses Frank N. Sollitto, Jr. and Neel T. Pizinger; and all her beloved animals and many dear friends.
Caryl's family would also like to thank Frank Sollitto Jr. for his support and continuous help throughout her many years of treatment.

I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Caryl. I worked with her at Allstate for many years. She was a wonderful kind person. I will always remember the fun times we had with the Allstate bowling league along with her Mom, your grandmother ,Helen. With Condolences Jan Kunkiewicz
