Caryl J. Wilson, 84 years old, from Grand Isle Vermont Isle, left us on October 10, 2023 after a brief
illness to go on to her final adventure. Caryl was born in 1939 in Kankakee, Illinois to Mr. Paul and Mrs.
Loretta Wilson. After graduating St. Patrick Central High School in 1956 she studied in the medical field
and worked as a surgical technician in Illinois. She then traveled throughout the northern United States
and Canada and finally settled in beautful Grand Isle, Vermont where she met her partner, Sally Morway.
In Vermont, she worked as a surgical technician at the Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington and then at
IBM for many years. Upon retiring, she and Sally, started a successful landscaping company. With her great love of animals, she launched her dog grooming and boarding business “The Pampered Pooch”. This was no real work for her. It was her first love.
Caryl always had a kind and loving nature and cherished her friendships and family. Her sense of humor and her love of dogs knew no bounds. She will be missed. However, her heavenly welcoming committee will be greeting her and includes her mother and father, Paul and Loreta Wilson, her special friend Sally Morway as well as Blackie, Chang, Gai Poo, Lee Fong, Mee Too, Otis, Oreo, ShuShu, Utah, plus over 40-plus rescue dogs who over the years called her Momma.
She is survived by her two sisters, Brenda Connolly and Joyce Wilson, and her nieces and nephews, Janet
Brill (Chris), Jeffrey (Julie) Wilson, Justine Wilson, Kelly Lamb, Michael Connolly and many grandnieces,
grandnephews and granddogs. She also is survived by very special and much beloved friends Fran
Moravcsik, Dale Morway, Russ and Susan Waring, Danny Larrow and the whole Morway Family.
