Caryn O'Marro Obituary
Caryn was born on July 7, 1951, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Alois and Helen (Paulik) Schunk. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1969. On March 12, 1971, she was united in marriage to David O'Marro, who survives. Together they shared many years of love and companionship and were blessed with one son, Shawn. One of Caryn's favorite memories was visiting Ireland with her son Shawn & Brandy & mother-in-law Mary. She truly loved sitting and looking over the Cliffs of Moher where she found great peace.
Later in life, Caryn and David moved to Laona following retirement, embracing the quiet country life she dearly loved. Caryn worked as a seamstress and was known for her creativity and artistic talent. A true hippie at heart, she had a deep love for The Beatles and blues music, enjoyed attending live music concerts, and found joy in sewing and making clothing for her family. Above all, Caryn treasured time spent with her family, especially having her grandchildren close by. She was very proud of her grandchildren and all they are becoming, she took immense pride in seeing her granddaughter Ireland walk barefoot across Abbey Road in London.
Caryn is survived by her husband, David O'Marro; her son, Shawn (Brandy) O'Marro; her grandchildren, Colin and Ireland; her siblings, Terry (Glen) Harold, Tom Schunk, Allan (Thea) Schunk, and Paul (Maureen) Schunk; her sister-in-law, Leeann O'Marro (Nicholas) Little; along with many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Helen Schunk; a brother, Joseph Schunk, in infancy; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Schunk.
A visitation will be held on January 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home in Crandon. Father Kennedy Gaspar will officiate. Caryn will be laid to rest at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.

Caryn has been a friend of mine since the Oshkosh
B' Gosh days. She will be missed by a lot of people, myself included. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and was a great friend of mine from long ago and will sadly leave a hole in the heart of many.
