Casey Hammonds Stephenson

Casey Hammonds (Stephenson), 39, of South Padre Island, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2025, in Brownsville, TX and is now at peace with the Lord.
Born in Mesquite, Texas, on March 29, 1986, Casey was the beloved daughter of the late Richard Melmoth Stephenson and Cindy Jo Stephenson, and half-sister to the late Stephen McCloud. She spent her early years in Rockwall and McAllen, TX, attending McAllen Memorial High School before going on to earn her bachelor's degree in accounting in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Casey built a successful career in business, working across Colorado, North Dakota, and Ohio, eventually becoming Head of Operations for a London-based beauty company. In 2019, while living in Ohio, she met the love of her life, Frank Hammonds. They were married on August 7, 2022, in a beach ceremony on South Padre Island and later made their home on the island. Together, they welcomed their son, Helix Grey Hammonds, and built a property management company.
Casey will be remembered for her bold, loving spirit, vibrant laughter, and deep devotion to her family and friends. She loved dancing, fishing, collecting seashells, and always dreamed of diving. Casey was passionate and meticulous in her work, and her vibrant energy and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Cindy, and her half-brother, Stephen.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Hammonds; her children, AnnMarie Alexis Counts, Cameron Skye Manderfeld, Liam Ridge Yates, and Helix Grey Hammonds; and a loving circle of family and friends who will carry her memory forever.
