Casey James Trageser
Casey James Trageser, age 42, of Adamstown, MD, formerly of Marshall, VA, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Medstar Washington Hospital in Wahington, D.C. He was born in Erie on December 27, 1982, the son of Carol Bebell Trageser and the late Thomas J. Trageser.
Recently he was a loving care giver for his mother, Carol.
He was an accomplished carpenter who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, all genres of music, and going to any concert or outdoor music festival. Casey was teaching himself how to play all kinds of musical instruments including the mountain dulcimer. In his youth, he repaired and rode motorcycles and he always loved and owned several dogs.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother Todd J. Trageser, one sister Katie Trageser, one uncle Christopher Bebell, one aunt Terry Trageser Colwell, his paternal grandparents William and Helen Trageser, and his maternal grandparents Clinton and Rowena Bebell.
He is survived by his mother Carol Bebell Trageser, his son Nathaniel Trageser, his long-time partner Kat Stewart, his former wife Jackie Rush, and his aunts and uncles: Christie Roylance (Frank), Chip Colwell, Wendy Onorato (Paul), John Trageser ((Karen), Andy Trageser (Susie), Paul Bebell (Trish), Sandra Piercey, Kim White, Holly Rainville (Terry), Sanya Gross, and many cousins. Casey had a kind and loving soul. Years ago, he had decided to become an organ donor. Because of this, Casey was able to improve the lives of four other people.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 2 pm until the time of a service there at 5:30 pm.
Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
