Cassandra Loranger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duyck & VanDeHey Funeral Home - Forest Grove on Jan. 8, 2026.
Cassandra Nichoel Loranger was born on October 23, 1997, and passed away on January 2, 2026. Though her life was far too short, it was defined by extraordinary strength, perseverance, and an unbreakable spirit.

From the very beginning, Cassie faced overwhelming medical challenges. There were countless moments in hospital rooms where hope seemed gone, times when her body was failing and the odds were stacked impossibly high. Again and again, doctors and loved ones feared the worst. And yet, again and again, Cassie fought her way back. Not only did she survive situations where there was no expectation of recovery, but she emerged each time with the same beautiful smile on her face. No matter how sick she was or how much she had endured, she always found a way to smile, especially when she was with her family.

Her body grew tired over the years, but her will never did. Through countless hospital stays and medical battles, Cassie's courage never wavered. Her strength was quiet but fierce, and her joy, somehow, remained intact.

Cassie is survived by her loving parents, Christina and Rockford, and her devoted sister, Britany. She was also deeply loved by her large and caring Loranger family, all of whom were blessed by her presence and inspired by her strength.

Cassie made a lasting impact simply by being herself. She loved classical music, audiobooks, musical toys, and snuggling her beloved dragons. Through her life, she taught those around her patience, determination, and compassion. In her younger years, she was known for her infectious laugh and her incredibly tight hugs. As she grew older and lost more physical function, what never faded was her radiant smile and her bright, expressive eyes, a reflection of a spirit that could not be broken.

Cassie brought joy in ways that cannot be measured and touched countless lives through her resilience and grace. Though her body struggled, her spirit never did.

Now, our beautiful girl is free, free from pain, free from limitation, and whole at last, running and laughing in the grass in the presence of our Lord Jesus.
