cassandra Casey Pierson

Cassandra Gail "Casey" Pierson of Barling, Arkansas passed away in her home on July 12, 2022, at the age of 60 years old. Born May 27th, 1962, Casey was a graduate of Northside High School, and lifelong resident of the River Valley. She was in her 39th year of employment with Cox Enterprises serving most recently as a Field Operations Supervisor. Her cable brothers, sisters, mentors, and mentees brought her great purpose and joy. And she was truly excited about helping to shape the future of Cox through her cable "nephews."
Casey was preceded in death by her father, Mike Pierson of Vesta, Arkansas, and her nephew, "Jordy" Pierson, of Arkoma, Oklahoma. She is survived by her partner, Lawanda Jones, and mother, Dana Pierson of the home; brothers – David, Grant, Wesley, and John; "sisters" – Kim, Nita, and Kelly; nephews – Thadeous, Joshua, Joe, Ben, and Andrew; nieces – Laura, Adrienne, Peggy, and Rebecca; as well as many great nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith.
