Cassie Balch, of Cedar Hill passed away on Thursday August 7, 2025 at Avante Rehabilitation Center of natural causes at the age of 87. Born in Center Texas to James Homer Davis and Velma Lee Davis on September 2, 1937.

Her passion was first her family and friends, she loved each family reunion or homecoming like it would be her last. She looked forward to each Christmas celebration with her family playing games and laughing until her sides hurt. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, camping and fishing. Which she did all with enthusiasm.

Cassie is survived by Daughters Susan Jenkins and Greg of Vinton, LA. Deloris O'Neal and Steve of Cedar Hill, TX. Grand Daughters Kacey Prejean of Schulenburg, TX. Mistee Hathaway and Mike of Reeves, LA. Grandson's Chase O'Neal and Helene of Oahu, Hawaii. Preston O'Neal and Tawnie of Pasco, WA. Great GrandDaughter Raelyn Kay O'Neal of Pasco, WA. Step Children, David, Kathy, Mike, Robert and Donna and their families. She also will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents James Homer Davis and Velma Lee Davis. Siblings, MC Davis, Dorothy Goodwin, Verna Mae Cooper, James Davis. Husband of 45 years Joel W Balch Father to Susan Jenkins, Roy Willis, Father to Deloris O'Neal, Preston Gamblin, Best Friend Marcella Pickard.
