Cassie, as she was called by family and friends, was raised in Cleveland Ohio, where she attended Cleveland Public Schools. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church for many years where she sang in the choir.
In her early years Cassie worked for a laundry company. She was later certified and worked as an STNA.
Castella Booker departed this life on September 23, 2025 at the age of 83. She is survived by her sisters, Rosemary Roseberry and Elaine Bumgarner (Terry Sr.); nieces and nephews, Earl, Terry Jr., Dennis, Ericka, Andre, Andrea, and James; great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
