Caterina Guarna Obituary
Caterina Guarna, a resident of Stamford CT, passed peacefully on 11/21/2024 at a private, specialized skilled living facility.
Caterina was born on 11/5/1939 in Arena, Italy and was the daughter of Rose Pagano Agostino and Michael Agostino.
Cathy came to Stamford in 1960 and first worked at Capitol Records, then later at Pitney Bowes for more than 20 years. Her hobbies were gardening and preparing delicious meals and baking for family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore M. Guarna and brother Frank Agostino.
Caterina is survived by her children, Dr. Anna Guarna and Rose Tallo and her sons-in-law, Vito Quivelli and Joseph Tallo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Tallo (28) and his spouse Kimberly (28), Christian Tallo (26), Alexander J. Quivelli (24) and Tessa N. Quivelli (24).
There will be a private family viewing at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25th at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. The burial will immediately follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place, Stamford CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
The family would like to thank all of the nursing staff and all of the adjuncts at Fairfield County House, 1 Den Road, Stamford, CT for their dedication to excellence and amazing care of their patients.
